In an effort to continue supporting students attending colleges and vocational programs beyond their first year of study, the Foundation awards scholarships of $250 – $400 to local students who maintain at least a 2.5 GPA. For the 2017-2018 school year, the Foundation was able to award $9,620 to 33 students. The awards this year came from market earnings of three permanent funds: the Helen and Howard McCollum Family Scholarship Fund, the Betty L. and Robert W. Renner Community Fund, and the Voyance and Zella Kegerreis Memorial Scholarship Fund. Tri Kappa Associates also provided scholarship funding this year.
